Corporate History

Daikure was established in 1951 in Kure, Hiroshima as Japan's first grating manufacturer.

The building in the picture, Daikure's Kure No. 2 Factory, (selected as one of Hiroshima's 100 historic buildings), is a former Imperial Navy Munitions Factory completed in 1905. Compared to the history of this building, Daikure's history is quite short. However, when it comes to the history of grating, we are proud of our very old traditions. Since our foundation, we have followed the single path of grating, creating the current standard for grating manufacturing, developed new technologies, and established guidelines. As a leader in our industry, our continuing and everlasting theme will be persistent research and development.

The history of grating is synonymous with the history of Daikure.
